about
A homage to the 'Kraftwerk' classic "Autobahn". Part of the fun is the fact that all electronic Instruments were hand-played, especially the drummachine which sounds quite funny considering the unearthly precission of the original Autobahn-Track.
Some of the puns don´t work in english: the words "Bücher aus Gesicht" is a nearly 1 to 1 translation of "facebook" and sounds in German a little bit like "books made of faces" and so on.
lyrics
...auf der Datenautobahn
aus Asphalt und Strom
fahre ich soweit ich kann
bis ich dort ankomm ((kohm))
wo die echte zeit jongliert <-mit
Datentransferschnee
wo Information regiert
mit U und Es und Be
wo ich tausend Freunde hab
in Büchern aus Gesicht
sehn` ich mich nach meinem Raum
und find die Ausfahrt nicht.
Auf der Datenautobahn
aus Asphalt und Strom
fahre ich soweit ich kann
bis ich dort ankomm ((kohm)).
Bau mir einen Klingelton
kühl und klar und rein,
lade ihn per 'Blauem Zahn'
in mein Handy ein,
programmier ihn digital
und wenn jemand singt
lass es die Maschine sein
die nach Kraftwerk klingt!
(ad lib:)
...aber ich mag Kraftwerk, ich mag Kraftwerk, ich mag ihre ganze - Kraft;
